Year 9

Students study Practical Sports Performance – The Mind and Sports Performance – describing different factors that affect performance such as motivation, self-confidence and personality. This unit is assessed over three assignments set by their teacher.

Year 10

Students study The Mind and Sports Performance – Developing and understanding factors that can influence the mind in sporting situations and some of the ways students can improve their own preparation and performance, and that of others. This unit is assessed over three assignments that are set by the class teacher.

Year 11

Students prepare for exams in Fitness, Sport and Exercise. Students learn about the components of fitness and the principles of training. They explore different fitness and training methods and investigate fitness testing to determine fitness levels. This unit is assessed by an online exam.
